What goes well with a resolution breaking brownie (or three)? Our Industry Expose'!

The Pulse Industry Exposé is our bread and butter. It is this kind of knowledge sharing that inspired The Pulse in the first place. We have kept our eyes open and our ears to the ground to identify the status (whether they are cancelled, pre-solicitation, or awarded) of impactful contracts across the Federal Government. We have also identified past and upcoming industry conferences and events. This information is not exhaustive, but it is contextual. We are not only telling you the what - we strive to make connections that provide you with the why.

FOLLOW ON FOR TRAINING AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE U. S. ARMY INDIVIDUAL TERRORISM AWARENESS USACE W912HQ18R0001 W912HQ14D0002 $7,700,000.00 $4,691,948.46 December 12, 2017 SUMMIT POINT RACEWAY ASSOCIATES, INC. dba BSR BSR is the incumbent contractor for INTAC training and successfully performed under contract W912HQ14D0002. It is not anticipated that an award will be made in time to provide adequate preparation for the INTAC class scheduled to begin 7 January 2018. It is vital the class is held without delay due to training being mandatory for redeployments. Any delay would seriously affect the warfighter mission. Necessary government furnished equipment is currently at BSR's facility. Moving the equipment to a new location would be costly and take a considerable amount of time. Contracts would need to be awarded to move the current material and market research has shown it would take at least 2 weeks for performance once awarded. If any material is damaged or lost during transport it would hurt mission goals. The cost to move government property for one class and then to move it again once the main contract is awarded would also be an additional cost. It is not practicable to complete these tasks and ensure training is conducted on 7 January 2018.

HR PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES DOT OST - 693JK418C500001 $3,755,069.40 $258,000.00 January 3, 2018 Syber Enterprise Group Inc. Seems like the Federal employees know something before we do. Government provided reasoning at award: "APPLY INCREMENTAL FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $115,000.00 FOR NEXT CONTINUED RESOLUTION PERIOD". Hmm. Also, this award is a non-compete under the simplified acquisitions program. How? Contracting Office found a way to get around the FAR using incremental funding (ceiling value $3.75M) and by classifying this as a commercial item - even though it is categorized as professional services.
