POTUS and his lame-duck Congress have until December 7th to come to an agreement on a spending package that includes appropriations for DoT, HUD, DOS, DOI, USDA, TREAS, DOC, DHS, and DOJ, among other agencies, or about 300K federal employees and countless contractors will face furloughs in a partial FedGov shutdown.

HHS announced the core participants for the Deputy Secretary's Innovation and Investment Summit (DSIIS), which received more than 250 nominations over the course of two weeks, and will meet for the first time next month. HHS selected the following organizations as its initial DSIIS core participants: Sandbox, Oak HC/FT, Linden Partners, LLC, Flare Capital, UnitedHealthcare, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Francisco Partners, Mayo Clinic, Ascension Ventures, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), General Atlantic, Nautic Partners LLC, Bessemer Venture Partners, and 3M.
